Your new role…
Reporting directly to the Pricing Manager, the successful student will quickly become an integral and trusted member of this team, providing operational and technical support to business activities. With a positive attitude and willingness to learn, the student will be given every opportunity to acquire new skills and gain valuable working knowledge of the Pricing role.

Main Duties:

  • Assisting in the development of customer quotations and cost bases to the Sales department for business and domestic markets
  • Analysing and preparing commercial data for customer pricing activities
  • Assisting in the development of Pricing Office data interfaces with key business systems
  • Daily and monthly validation checks against billed data and signed contracts
  • Daily updating of customer acceptance details to Trading Systems
  • Assisting in the resolution of queries from Key Account
  • Managers in relation to key business accounts
  • Involvement in annual student promotion activities

The student will gain knowledge, understanding and experience of a range of Retail Pricing and Business concepts including:

  • Integrated Single Electricity Market (ISEM)
  • Contract Management
  • Creating retail contracts
  • Relationship with Sales and Billing Department
  • The wider Trading department function.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Module results to date must have a combined average in excess of 60%, up to and including 2019 Semester results. (All modules and results must be listed on your CV).
  • IT literate with a sound working knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint .
  • Demonstrable evidence of investigative/research work using a range of sources

Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of VBA
  • The module results combined average may be increased if we have a high level of interest.
