Energia become official partner of Irish Rugby

Energia are delighted to announce our official partnership with the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU). This five-year partnership will see Energia become Official Energy Partner to Irish Rugby and title sponsor of both the Men’s and Women’s All Ireland League (AIL) competitions.

The partnership will also include title sponsorships of the Energia Club International Competition, Energia Bateman Cup and Energia All-Ireland Junior Cup. Energia is committed to supporting Irish rugby from grassroots to international level, and to the future development of rugby in Ireland and helping clubs reach their sustainability goals within their local communities.

Our new rugby communications campaign ‘Positive Energy. The Power Behind Irish Rugby’, was unveiled last July with the help of Energia ambassadors and Irish Rugby legends Ronan O’Gara and Shane Horgan.

Our new campaign highlights how the fan’s #PositiveEnergy can have a positive impact on rugby teams across the board. Players of all levels often speak of the boost fans can make to their mindset on the pitch, and the #PositiveEnergy campaign is rooted in the insight that any team can harness the positive energy of fans to help power them to success.

In rugby, positive energy is a powerful force. Irish Rugby has a fan base growing year on year and has progressed significantly on the international stage in the last 18 months proudly ranking Ireland 3rd in the world.

Speaking about the Positive Energy Rugby Campaign Gary Ryan, Managing Director, Energia Customer Solutions commented:’We are excited to launch our new Energia rugby campaign which champions the unwavering support of Irish rugby fans, the breadth of the nation. We see fans play a vital role in the success of the team through their continuous positive energy and support. When players and teams harness the positive energy of their supporters, they can achieve anything. We have an exciting season ahead and we’re looking forward to supporting the rugby community as we compete nationally and internationally.’’
