Power NI recognised as a responsible business

Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy provider, has been recognised as a Responsible Business Champion for 2020 by Business in the Community.

 

Power NI, Northern Ireland’s leading energy provider, has been recognised as a Responsible Business Champion for 2020 by Business in the Community. The recognition comes in place of the annual Responsible Business Awards which will not take place this year, the first in 16 years.

The energy company received two nods in the ‘Investing in your community’ and the ‘Wellbeing at Work’ categories which were judged by senior leaders from Business in the Community. The accolades identify Power NI as a company who cares not only about the community they live, work and operate in but as a company who invests in the almost 400 staff they employ across three sites in Belfast, Antrim and Omagh.

Our wide-ranging programmes including volunteering, ensuring our vulnerable customers are looked after and providing funding for groups, spans the whole province. I want to recognise the hard work of my colleagues at Power NI alongside our many partner organisations who continue to deliver for those who need it most, especially at the in present climate’.
